Designin’ December 2022 MORE Prize Sponsors!

Hey there!

Have you got your Designin’ December 2022 plans made yet? We all know I have my embroidered jeans all sorted out with this Helen’s Closet Arden pants pattern… still haven’t cut into my denim though! 🙂

I have also chosen my top fabric, a mysterious satiny fabric from my stash. Don’t know where it came from exactly, but it is lovely!

Just recently, I decided which pattern to use for my top. This vintage pattern, McCall’s 7238, originally $3.25. I think my sister gave me this one in a large box of patterns. Thank you! It has a full sleeve and a key hole neckline. I have cut it out, of course making it a shorter “not a dress” length, but I haven’t done any substantial sewing yet.

Enough of that 🙂 it’s time to announce some MORE Designin’ December Prize Sponsors! If you haven’t heard about the Designin’ December Sewing Challenge yet, check out this post here!

  1. This is exciting. There are always so many great projects.

    1. So many talented sewists. No matter what they see, they want it, they make it!

  2. Okay, it is giggle time. Yes, your sister gave you the pattern, the pattern for the dress I wore on my second wedding day. While wearing, said dress, I was picking up the boutonniere and corsage on the way to city hall and some guy ran into me and dropped his lit cigarette down one of those lovely sleeves. That is beautiful material just watch out for lit cigarettes……….not sure if the pattern was jinxed or the wedding.

    1. …. and I remember that! Burnt a hole in the dress – the dress was beautiful even with the hole! (I actually never even noticed it until you pointed it out!) You did a lovely job sewing it up! Thank you for the pattern. We shall see if it looks half as good as a top!
