Let me explain, in case you missed my IG feed … I headed back to the Calgary Stampede for my summer vacation!
I was in such awe of THE Biggest Sewing Room in Canada when I saw it in August of 2014 at the Calgary Stampede, I just knew I would have to return to see THE Biggest Grandstand Show in Canada – the TransAlta Grandstand Show – and all the talented performers who ultimately end up wearing all those costumes made by all those talented sewists in THE Biggest Sewing Room in Canada. My sister was lucky enough to win a trip to an all-inclusive resort in the Mayan Riviera for two and I was able to jump in and go when her husband was unable!
So begins the adventure. There was a lot of time spent eating at the resort’s various fabulous restaurants, walking the grounds and beaches, lying by the pool, watching the outdoor entertainment and movies, etc. I have been posting photos frequently on Instagram of our trip and our mascot “Jerry the Minion”.
My me-made swimsuit and cover-up blogged about previously were the most used garments in my suitcase. I was quite surprised the stitches and fabric of my me-made swimsuit didn’t fall apart while I did my laps in the pool!

A Happy and Healthy New Year to you and your family!
Thank you for your lovely blog posts and thank you for your interest in mine!
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! My two sisters, Ozzy the dog, and myself are ready to run/walk/jog for the Cure this Sunday, October 5th! My other sister and our families are ready to cheer from the sidelines (virtually) – although we will get her over here too one of these days!
For a future without breast cancer! (Click for more info)
This weekend is a no-sewing weekend. We hope you can cheer us on (virtually)!
My pattern has arrived! Thank you Sew Much 2 Learn!
I was the lucky winner of Sew Much 2 Learn‘s Giveaway! I seem to remember having the original Jiffy pattern in our house long ago when I was small. It does look familiar. Maybe it was my sister’s?
I have thoughts of fabric running through my head now … Not a solid colour… Maybe this…
Or maybe this…
No… That looks too familiar… Kind of like wallpaper… Where have I seen that before?
This will take some thought, but I will add it to my “To Sew List”!
And I will blog about it too!
Don’t you just love getting a New pattern? Fabric? Sewing notion? …
Thank you again, Sew Much 2 Learn!
