Today I have for you my #2 Tee for Patternreview’s August TNT Tee Contest. I have used the very same pattern as my #1 Tee posted here, Butterick B5988, view B. This time my fabric is a 96% polyester, 4% spandex ITY knit and it feels very comfy!
I have again made the neck opening wider than the pattern, by sliding the front and back bodice pieces 1.5 inches away from the centre fold at the neck, so that I can gather the neck opening all around. This time though I have pulled the gathering tighter around the neck, so the neckline sits higher than before.
I have also made wide bands to finish off the collar and sleeves. Hmm, the band around the neck opening looks a little rumpled here, glad it lies better on me!
Ugh, I see a black thread hanging there! Gotta snip that off before wearing it! Here it is, my finished #2 Tee, modelled by Dolly and myself…..
I have one more awkward shot here with Sophie trying to sneak up on my reflection!
Do you have photos where your pet has photobombed you? I would love to see them. I honestly don’t know which comes higher on my list, after family of course 😜, sewing or my two cats!
Have to go now… I’m still working on my Tee #3 and #4. I don’t have much time left neither, considering right now I am waiting at the terminal to hop on a ferry to the Big City – Vancouver! Whoo Hoo! My sister and I plan on a full day of shopping tomorrow which, of course, includes IKEA and all the fabric stores we can hit in one afternoon – in exchange for me buying her lunch! Gotta feed my fabric stash! (and my chauffeur!)
Happy Sewing!
