What in the world have I been up to?
Well these past few days, the whole province, and the ones around us, are under such a heat wave that we feel like we are living in Hawaii, or somewhere else extremely HOT. I think the temp is 35C (95F) right now? Our whole household, two cats included, have decided to find slightly cooler places in the house to hide, if we can! I wonder if Sophie will let me sit in the basement closet with her?
So here I sit, thinking back on the last few weeks … and I can pass on to you …

And good news! We are getting closer to Launch Day for my newest bag pattern! It is now out with my diligent Pattern Testers and I am loving their help.
Also, I have cut out my next selfish sew. I have decided that I am going to make View A of McCall’s M6840, perfect for the weather we are having lately!
I also have a new ALS fundraising product in the Shop, check it out here! I am making comfy, cozy sleep masks of 100% cotton print with a 100% bamboo knit lining, soft on the skin and opaque. The elastic is gentle lingerie elastic and won’t pull on your hair. All proceeds, of course, to the ALS Society of BC.
Some really exciting news I’d like to pass on to you is that I’ve been asked to be part of the @rebeccapageofficial #GetCraftySummerCamp July 12th – 16th! This FREE Virtual camp includes over 40 craft classes for kids 7-12 years old OR those of you who are young at heart! There will be sewing, crochet, paper crafts, and more.
I will be teaching TWO sewing classes. Both not only suitable for the kids, but also suitable for beginner sewists!
